This was the first week of shop for the 2025-2026 school year. Since it is the start of a new school year, Mr. Christy and Mr. L had a list of jobs that they wanted us to complete in shop as a way to get the shop ready for the year. The job I took was to make signs for the various areas in the shop. I first sketched out what I wanted the design to look like in a basic form: the robotics logo with impact font labeling the various signs. I tried out a few designs but they didn't come out the way I wanted them to. Since we were planning on getting these signs printed with the graphics shop, we decided to just ask the graphics shop to design the signs for us so that they looked nice hung up around the shop.

After I asked graphics to print out the signs for us, I was out of things to do. Luckily, Mr. Hester from the Media Tech shop asked me to cut out a shaped bokeh filter for him to use. From what I understand of the bokeh filter, it blocks out light and allows specific shapes of light into the view of the camera with various cutouts. He gave me one he already had to use as a reference and the part it would rest on to get the measurements of it. He wanted the mustang logo cut into a piece of plastic similar to the one he had given me to create this bokeh effect.

So far I have only taken the measurements of the filter and made a rough sketch of what I think the M should look like when cut into the plastic. I have to determine if we have the right material to make something close to this filter. Once I make the design for this in Inkscape or on paper, I plan on asking Mr. Hester if it is to his liking before I cut it out in plastic.
