Week of 9/1

This week I started to work on a new project, a lip gloss holder. I took inspiration from a grid-like lip gloss organizer made of acrylic and designed it in CAD. I created and 3D printed a singular cube from the grid to ensure that my lip gloss would fit in it the way I wanted it to.

Once I determined that the singular holder was a good size, I patterned the body to build a grid of 16 lip gloss holders. This is a model of what the holder should look like, but it isn't the final product.

I'm working on a new model for the holder that I can laser cut rather than 3D print so that I can make it out of acrylic and customize the look of it easier.
