This week I made lots of progress on the photo box. I did a test cut of one of the box's sides and I found that it was too big. After resizing the box and changing the Inkscape files, I was able to cut out all the pieces and assemble the box. There were no wood pieces that were big enough for me to cut the box out in it so I had to use cardboard to assemble the box. I cut out all the pieces and put to together the box temporarily with tape and decided that it was a good size for the photos that need to be taken.

After cutting out all the pieces, I wanted to paint the box white so that the photos would come out well with a bright inside. If the box is not painted (or a bright color) the box would be pointless as it would not be able to accomplish the look of polished photos when pictures are taken. I could not find any white spray paint in the shop so I just settled on silver/metallic paint to paint the inside. On Wednesday I painted all of the pieces (just the inside of them) and continued with the project.

Since I needed the inside to be white and there was no white paint, I decided to glue some white paper on the inside of the box. I found a smaller roll of paper to use to glue the paper onto the painted pieces to accomplish the look that I want. So far I have glued paper onto two of the five pieces of carboard and I plan on gluing the rest of them together tomorrow on Friday. I hope to fully assemble the box and attach the diffuser paper onto it tomorrow as well because I want to take it home for the weekend.
