This week I continued to design the bedside table that I am making for my little sister. Initially, the table that I was designing was not suitable for the CNC which is the machine I would be using to cut out the parts. Once I found this out, I decided to scrap my initial design and start on a new table design in fusion. Mr. L suggested that I use his video in which he explains how to make furniture suited to being cut on the CNC router. This video detailed the specific dimensions and designs required to make a design suited to be milled on the CNC. From this video, I was able to start the design of the table.

The design is unfinished as of right now but it is close to done. I still need to create the tabletop for it but that is also close to being finished. Once I finish the tabletop I will begin designing an engraving for the top of the table. I wanted to keep the engraving simple and just engrave my little sister's name into it. This will not only personalize the table to her and make it a little more special, but it will also make it look less boring. After this, she asked me to make a hook for the side of the table so she could hang her portable radio on it. I will work on this after the table is built because it's less of a priority and she wants the table to be finished as soon as possible.
