This week I took a break from coding the Word Clock and worked on some projects in CAD. The first project I did was creating a replacement for the gun mount Mr. L asked me to make. I made the file last week and ensured it was the right fit for the old metal piece on Monday this week. I ended up actually cutting it out in the waterjet on Tuesday which was a cool experience because I had never done that before. After that, I focused on making a gift for my little sister because her birthday and Christmas are right around the corner. She likes mind puzzles and when we were out one day she pointed out a particular puzzle she wanted. I decided to make this in the shop because it was easy and I felt it would be more special that way. I created the CAD file for it and cut out the puzzle in wood. I made a base and a raised border to go around the sides of the base so that the pieces would fit into the space in the middle. Now I am working on sanding all the pieces and gluing the raised edge to the base. After I do that I plan on painting all the pieces with paint I have at home.
